REVERSE ENGINEERING PROJECT-MINI GLUE GUN

CONCEPT
Our team was tasked with analyzing a mini glue gun to examine how the product works, and the technology that was used to develop the product.

DISASSEMBLY & DIMENSIONING PROCESS
The disassembly process involved separating the components of the glue gun from the housings. Parts that were not separable were left alone but still drawn as individual parts on SolidWorks. The glue gun was dimensioned by using a digital caliper. However, due to the small size of the components, some dimensions were estimated. The team did a rough sketch of each component and labeled the measured dimensions.

RESULTS
A mini glue gun was analyzed in this report by disassembling the glue gun to view its components in detail. The components of the mini glue gun were examined to determine the material and the manufacturing process that would be used to manufacture the parts.
